7skybar
With fantastic views of the city this is a great place to go to mix with trendy Russians. SevenSkyBar is an excellent example of a successful fusion of European and Asian cuisine; good, sophisticated food at an amazingly good price. Represented cuisine was specially developed by the French Chief Patrick Maurin and could satisfy the requirements of mostly exacting guests.
Lumiere
An evening restaurant with a view onto Arts square/Ploschad Iskusstv offers French cuisine and pleasant atmosphere.
Checlub
It is a cafe, restaurant and lounge bar as well. A fine club-like atmosphere, which includes some of the best coffee in the city, a selection of European desserts, regular live music performances in the evening and video and slide shows.
Sadko
Sadko is a casual Russian restaurant. Special offers every day make Sadko simply one of the best meeting places in St. Petersburg!
Dickens Pub
Dickens boasts an "authentic" English pub atmosphere and plenty of English beers. There are several plasma TVs showing sport. Food-wise, the full English breakfast including tea or coffee makes a good meal and is good value at 290R ($11). And it's available until 3pm for late risers.
Tiffanys cafe
In the centre of St.Petersburg just a few steps from Nevsky prospect on Sadovaya street there is an elegant restaurant in fusion style. Italian furniture, Italian cuisine and a wine list from which you can choose out of 50 drinks.
Sverchok
Well-known Russian restaurant, the place has a folky feel to it, and serves real Russian food.
1913
Famous because it was one of the first restaurants opened during Perestroika. Serves hearty Russian food and is a favourite amongst foreigners reminiscing about the past. Recommended as a post-theatre hang-out.
The Idiot
One of the most eccentric and fun interiors, The Idiot has loads of character and atmosphere from 19th century Russia. There is also a non-smoking area. Reputedly once part owned by Dostoyevsky, this restaurant has an intriguing and tasty menu that favours vegetarians. Handy after the theatre but also ideal for just a quick drink too.
Nobles Nest
Ultra sophisticated and elegant restaurant located in the Tea pavilion of the YusupovPalace, with waiters that really seem to know their stuff. Really exceptional Russian and European cuisine. Excellent wines. A treat.
Oliva
This spacious Greek restaurant is a quality find for a lunch or evening meal; and good value too. The service can be temperamental but the evenings are enhanced by the lively atmosphere and occasional live music. A children's corner is a thoughtful touch.
